I am a Baltimore-based painter, writer, and mental health equity advocate with ten years of dedicated practice in painting and creative non-fiction writing. Fusing art and writing, my oeuvre encompasses abstract and surreal paintings and collages whose compositions take shape from kinetic and repetitive graffiti script. Each painting is excessively layered, the words, symbols, and images creating a storied texture that speaks to the emotion expended for each piece. Raised in the city of Chicago in the '80s and '90s, my art often imitates the cultural paradoxes from late twentieth-century American culture–– cross-colors and grunge, analog-meets-digital, hope and fatalism.

My art has always been tethered to mental health; both as a portal to my subconscious and a means to engage authentically in efforts to destigmatize mental illness. Where possible, I’ve utilized my art as a means to elevate conversations around the need to remove systemic barriers to mental healthcare for underserved communities, platforming and/or donating proceeds from art events to local organizations in the field.

Baltimore's affinity for experimentation and come-as-you-are art scene has created a welcoming proving ground for my creative life over the past ten years. I've had the opportunity to participate in a handful of collaborations and exhibitions with Baltimore artists and organizations – Night Owl Gallery, Phoenix Art Yard, Maryland Art Place, Bmore Art, MICA, Perspectives Art + Design – each experience providing accountability and inspiration for my art practice.
